WASHINGTON – Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan and Congresswomen Carol Shea-Porter and Annie Kuster today announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded more than $6 million in federal grants to support New Hampshire’s transportation infrastructure.

WASHINGTON, DC— Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01) and Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan today announced that Manchester-Boston Regional Airport will receive a $6.8 million grant from the Department of Transportation to realign and reconstruct two taxiways. The new configuration will ensure they meet current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) design standards and will enhance safety and efficiency for aircraft arriving and departing on Runway 35.
WASHINGTON, DC— Congresswoman Shea-Porter’s (NH-01) amendments to dredge Hampton and Portsmouth Harbors have been included in the House Water Resources Development Act, which passed this evening 408-2. Amendment #40, which would dredge Hampton Harbor can be found here, and amendment #41, which would dredge Portsmouth Harbor, can be found here. Both amendments were adopted by voice vote.
WASHINGTON — Sens. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) and Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.), and U.S. Reps. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) and Annie Kuster (D-Hopkinton) announced Thursday that the Federal Highway Administration has awarded a $750,000 grant to the Forest Service to repair federal roads in the North Country that were severely damaged by the late October storms.
