Press Release

WASHINGTON, DC— Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01) today issued the following statement after the Executive Council unanimously voted to hang Dudley Dudley’s portrait in the Statehouse:

“I have been blessed to call Dudley Dudley a friend, and I have greatly admired her incredible public service and activism. As the first woman elected to the Executive Council, she helped pave the way for so many of us who have followed in her footsteps and run for elective office. I am pleased that the Executive Council voted unanimously today to hang a portrait of Dudley in the Statehouse so that everyone who visits can learn about her distinguished career and her groundbreaking role in New Hampshire politics.”
